The association was co-founded by directors Atıf Yılmaz, Ömer Kavur, Yusuf Kurçenli, Erden Kıral, Memduh Ün, Ali Özgentürk, İrfan Tözüm, Orhan Oğuz, Barış Pirhasan ve Zeki Ökten. The association produced two feature films directed by its founders: Aşk Üzerine Söylenmemiş Her Şey and Yerçekimli Aşklar.
